I AM IN A VIDEO GAME ALL MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE!!!

Listen, it’s no secret that I like video games (I mean, just look at all the video game music I’ve done in the past). I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s which, as far as I’m concerned, is the best era of gaming. No DLC. No microtransactions. Just pure gaming. Man vs. Machine. And it was glorious. In fact, to this day, I still celebrate my birthday at the FUNSPOT, which is the largest arcade in the world. Three floors of my favorite era of gaming, all under one roof. It takes me back to a simpler time, when the weight of the world wasn’t on my shoulders, and it feels so good to shut the current year off and travel back in time for one day.

So when I was approached by the brilliant composer Megan Carnes (who I met via my brief time at HitRECord) about being in a video game she was creating my answer was F&%$ YEAH!!! I didn’t hesitate for a second, and I was beyond excited. The kickstarter she made for it was successful, she sent me some parts, I recorded them, and that was that. For a while…

Well, the game is out now! I could not be more proud to be part of this project. It’s such a unique idea!!! Remember “Choose Your Own Adventure” books from the 80’s and 90’s? This is a “Choose Your Own” song! Basically you get questions in the game and your responses shape the song that plays.

The game is called “Inter-View” and you can get it here: https://megancarnes.itch.io/

It’s free! That being said, you have the option to pay for it, so please kick a few bucks to Megan. She spent a lot of time making this and a lot of money rounding up all of the musicians and artists for this project, so please be generous. It would mean a lot to everyone involved. Also, it looks beautiful! Depending on the answers you give you might hear my guitar playing, which means you have to play over and over again until you hear me, darn it!

Thank you so much, Megan. I’ve always wanted to be in a video game! I’ve dreamed about working on projects that would land me on TV, or in the movies, or in a video game. I’ve already been included in several TV shows, a few indie films, and now I’m in a video game. I have no words. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right decisions in life. I struggle to pay my bills, to find work, to put out albums, but things like this make me realize that everything, every hassle, every long day of work and practice was 100% worth the effort. Thank you so much, Megan, from the bottom of my heart. This means the world to me and I will never be able to thank you enough! This project was a dream come true.
